Regional BGAN is an extremely portable, robust, cost reducing, simple to use, high-speed Data service via the satellite. You simply connect the terminal to your PC or PDA, point the antenna in the direction of the satellite and it is business as usual.
The service supports applications across all market sectors, e.g. - instant remote access - VPN Connectivity - High Speed Internet Access - Email - File Transfer - Digital Image Transfer - E-commerce - Database Queries - Store and Forward Video - Remote IT Support - Instant Messaging. Just as if you were sitting in a conventional commercial office.
The system is compatible with the latest cellular GPRS systems. However it operates at much higher data speeds of up to 144kbit/s as it takes advantage of the satellite’s more efficient mobile packet data system. Innovative Bluetooth technology allows wirefree connectivity between a range of peripherals and the Regional BGAN satellite IP modem.
Regional BGAN – the Xantic way: In order to deliver Valued Added Services over Regional BGAN, Xantic is the first LESO that has built its own Access Control Point. Thanks to the implementation of this infrastructure, Xantic's Regional BGAN service offers in addition:
